Paris, je t'aime

Crucial on embarking on shopping spree to Paris: leave much room in suitcase!
This is a problem. I am staying in the city of love (and fashion) for 7 days and im at a loss at what to bring at what to leave behind. Knowing there will be many new things in my possession by the time I even think of returning I dont want to be where I was last time (arriving in France with a suitcase so empty it actually rattled, having nothing to wear to the Champs Elysees VIP room (actually I faught my way past the cashier at Zara 3 minutes before closing time screaming ("please! I just need a dress") He was great and ran all over Zara with me and found me a dress that is still my fav to date. Who doesnt love Zara for basics.

But still. No-one needs that kind of stress. And even bringing close to nada to France... I still had to wear two coats, a dress and a pair of jeans on the plane just to close my suitcase (also had a pair of stilettoes in my carry-on). So I guess, no good advice to be offered accept this (which works): Buy a new bag while there:) Big one. And make it your carry-on. Fill it with shoes, makeup, dresses and clutches and all things fabulous. Make sure you throw away anything you can spare (like pajamas and walking-shoes)... You will not miss them as much as the beautiful dress you didnt buy because "suitcase is full". Trust me. If all else fails: Ship it!

Last trip to Paris was amazing: Our admittance to the VIP room a clear highlight and best party-night to date. Partying and drinking expensive champagne like it was water was surreal and I still think of that night like "did that really happen?"

Anyways. I am exhausted from packing. Overslept today and almost late for work. Still got my latte as always though on the way there. Will sleep at H's tomorrow night for fab Paris-pre-party with champagne and planning of outfits.

Mom will watch Coco while I am gone. But I will miss her. Is it wrong to miss one's dog more than one's family? Here's a picture of her: My darling Coco. Almost two years old.
